Formerly the Chief Financial and Operating Officer, David has been with IDBS since 1997 when he established IDBS’ North American business. Following Danaher’s acquisition of IDBS, David assumed responsibility for operations and success of the business globally as General Manager. Prior to joining IDBS, David worked at Yorkshire Food Group PLC in a number of roles including Group Finance Director. David is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
In his role, Laurence is responsible for all aspects of IDBS Marketing. Bringing over thirteen years of product and marketing experience, he has a proven track record in building productive, high quality teams who deliver innovative, commercial solutions to market on time.
Having started in software development and product management at IDBS, he completed a five year stint at Microsoft where he was Head of Windows and Office Category Management for the UK and Ireland Retail Sales and Marketing Group, before returning to IDBS in early 2013.
Laurence has a degree in Mathematics and Applied Physics from Kingston University.
Scott Weiss manages the Products team and is responsible for IDBS’ portfolio of enterprise software, with a focus on delivering products that enable organizations to drive business transformation by fostering operational efficiency, innovation, and cost savings.
Scott has a broad background in pharmaceutical research & development, informatics strategy and execution, business consulting, solutions delivery and software development & commercialization, and previously served as Product Manager during the initial design, commercial launch and early growth phases of E-WorkBook.
Prior to joining IDBS, Scott was Director of Pharmacology at Vernalis, where he led multiple drug-development programs from conceptualization to entry in clinical trials and has authored over 30 peer-reviewed scientific papers and patents. He obtained his PhD in Psychology from the University of Leeds, specializing in Neuroscience.
Jonathan joined IDBS in 2014 to head up the technology and product delivery function and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of new product development, user experience, DevOps and customer support, as well as proactively future-proofing the technology functions to ensure IDBS delivers world-class enterprise software solutions to customers within research and development.
Prior to joining IDBS, Jonathan has worked in software and product development across a number of market verticals including finance, automotive and recruitment; focusing on delivering high quality and innovative software products to market.
Glyn joined IDBS in 1995 and has worked primarily on large projects with major pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
As VP, International, Glyn applies his deep domain knowledge to growing IDBS business across verticals in Northern Europe, the Asia-Pacific region and Rest of World; including the UK. By providing direction to our sales team and commercial partners, Glyn is charged with expanding the IDBS presence in these geographies.
Glyn has accumulated over 25 years of experience in scientific R&D in a variety of roles covering software development, delivery and sales.
Glyn has a BSc Hons in Combined Studies from Manchester University and an MSc in Applied Computing.
As VP of Strategic Solutions, Paul heads the overall strategic planning for the various market verticals and scientific domains that IDBS works in. By working both internally across IDBS and externally with customers and partners, Paul is charged with the exploration and creation of new products, solutions and service offerings. He joined IDBS in 2005 as part of the acquisition of his ELN company and has spearheaded the drive to make E-WorkBook Suite the market leader. Prior to this, Paul founded a number of companies focused on combining science, technology and business. He started his career as a Post Doc and subsequently Senior Scientist at Sanofi-Synthelabo Toulouse (now Sanofi) for just under five years, where he managed a multidisciplinary molecular and cell biology department.
Paul obtained his PhD in Computational Biology from Essex University in 1996, and has authored over 25 scientific papers and book chapters.
Mike joined IDBS in 2001 and is Vice President of North American Operations, overseeing all facets of execution, sales, marketing and service delivery.
Mike has been a driving force in developing the IDBS marketplace in North America, holding many of the company’s key North American roles. His recent focus has been on expanding to new verticals and sectors while achieving an acceleration of business transformation projects across R&D.
Prior to joining IDBS, Mike worked at Merrill Lynch in Princeton, NJ after earning his degree in Biology from the College of New Jersey.
Pietro joined IDBS in 2006 and is Vice President of Sales. He leads the EMEA sales and operations team.
He has over 15 years of experience working with organizations in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and high technology sectors, helping them to transform the way they discover, develop and manufacture new products.
Pietro has held a number of roles at IDBS including Strategic Sales Director and Head of Global Strategic Sales.
Pietro has a first-class honours degree in Biotechnology and Biology from the University of Nottingham.
Hannah joined IDBS in 2013 and heads up the company’s Human Resources activities worldwide. Hannah’s specialized knowledge encompasses all aspects of HR management, business transformation and internal communications. Her skills help make sure that the company’s human talent and business needs are aligned and that IDBS employees are able to fulfil their potential.
Before joining IDBS, Hannah spent over 20 years honing her HR skills in roles including that of Group HR Director at EurotaxGlass's International where she was responsible for HR across 750 employees and in 19 countries. Hannah is a Chartered member of the CIPD.
