IDBS Outlines Multiple Web-Based Advances Across Product Portfolio
Integrated Spreadsheet Capability Previewed
Guildford, UK, and Burlington, Mass., September 06, 2011 – IDBS, a global provider of innovative data management, analytics and modeling solutions, today outlined a range of new product releases which will be launched over the next six months. This period will see a significant increase in new web-based releases of IDBS’ integrated enterprise software platforms and demonstrates a core commitment to technology development and leadership in R&D software across multiple disciplines.
ELN Content Editing Coming to the Web
R&D working practices are becoming more flexible, with particular attention to mobile data collection and access. In July, IDBS released a web-based version of its award-winning E-WorkBook product to support searching and reviewing content while on the move. The next release of E-WorkBook Web will support editing of a wide range of content as well as web-based review and sign-off, enabling researchers to collect, calculate, store, search and use data across a wide range of browsers.
“E-WorkBook is the only recognized ELN platform that provides complete interoperability between desktop and browser systems, giving customers the flexibility to work with the same data in both a fixed and mobile environment,” said Glyn Williams, VP Product Delivery, IDBS.
ActivityBase – Thinner and Faster
This Autumn, IDBS will release ActivityBase 8. This release enhances personal productivity and performance at a time of increasing data volumes, and further eases administration and deployment through a revolutionary web-based interface. Registration of samples and administration can be carried out securely and remotely to make the process of high capacity experimentation even more efficient.
With the launch of Biomolecular Hub earlier this year, omics’ researchers were provided with unprecedented data management capability for their high volume complex data. To further enhance this research, IDBS will launch a high-capacity omics analysis system at the IDBS Translational Research & Biomarker Symposium event in October. This builds upon the uniquely scalable infrastructure we have developed to give lightning fast analysis of high context omic data, molecular analysis and research collaboration.
“We continue to invest and stay ahead of our competition because our technologies allow customers to make use of the most important thing they have: their data,” said Neil Kipling, founder and CEO of IDBS. Mr Kipling continued: “Whilst others are seeking to update their offering by combining purchased components, we are steadily transitioning our recognized, core technologies into browser and mobile platforms.
