||Justin Gazard, Global Pharmacology Business Partner, Pfizer
||Justin Gazard is the Global Pharmacology Business Partner for Pfizer Research & Development Business Technology, and was the technical implementation lead in transitioning Pfizer Research colleagues to ActivityBase since 2013. He began working at Pfizer in 1999 as a lab scientist in the High Throughput Screening group before transitioning to the Information Technology domain in 2008. Justin currently manages a portfolio of internal and COTS pharmacology applications, including IDBS E-Workbook and ActivityBase, used by over 1500 Research colleagues across the organization.

||Emerging Trends in Scientific Data Management
||David Hartsough, LabAnswer
||David Hartsough is a Senior Manager in LabAnswer’s Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences Practice. He has over twenty years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. In this span, he has worked both within Research and in IT organizations developing and delivering scientific information management solutions. David began his career in the Structural Chemistry group at Bayer Pharmaceuticals following completion of his PhD in Chemistry at the University of Illinois and post-doctoral research in protein dynamics at The Pennsylvania State University. Following his time in Research at Bayer he moved into Informatics and IT at ArQule. Prior to joining LabAnswer, David spent 9 years at Amgen in a variety of leadership roles within R&D Informatics, most recently as Executive Director for Translational Sciences IS. David also earned an MBA from Northeastern University in their High Tech program.

||Scott Weiss, Senior Director, Product Management, IDBS
||Scott joined IDBS in 2004, bringing over 17 years’ experience in pharmacology, neuroscience, and pharmaceutical drug development. Prior to joining IDBS, he was Director of In-Vivo Pharmacology at Vernalis Research. Whilst at IDBS, he has served as a Senior Consultant, and subsequently as product manager during the development and commercialization phases of E-WorkBook, IDBS flagship ELN products. He is currently Senior Director of Product Management, responsible for IDBS’s portfolio of software products. Scott obtained his Ph.D. at the University of Leeds and has authored over 45 scientific papers, journal articles and patents.
