Vice President and General Manager
Christian has spent the last 23 years in the Life Science informatics space. He has held global strategy and product roles at LION bioscience, growing the software business from zero to $40m and completing a successful IPO in 2001; and at Spotfire where he grew the market and channel for analytics software across the pharmaceutical industry over a period of 13 years. Christian has a BA in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley and is based at IDBS’s HQ in Guildford, UK.
Senior Director, Finance
Anne joined IDBS in 2001 and is the Senior Director, Finance leading the Finance Organization.
She became a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants in 1985.
Whilst at IDBS, Anne has led the Finance team through the growth of IDBS and has been the Finance lead for all acquisitions.
Prior to joining IDBS, Anne worked in a variety of industries including Manufacturing and Software.
Vice President, Strategy, Marketing and Product
Pietro joined IDBS in 2006 and as Vice President of Strategy is reshaping IDBS to deliver solutions that transform the way biological and advanced therapies are developed and delivered to patients faster and more cost effectively.
With 18 years of experience working with organizations in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and high technology sectors, Pietro has a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in digitally transforming the way new products are discovered, developed and manufactured.
Pietro has held a number of roles at IDBS including Strategic Sales Director, Head of Global Strategic Sales and Vice President of Sales, EMEA.
Pietro has a first-class honours degree in Biotechnology from the University of Nottingham.
Senior Director, Operations
Liz leads a team responsible for governance, quality, compliance and value realization from our portfolio of products. She joined IDBS in 2014, having previously worked for Novartis in various IT management & leadership roles including Clinical Development IT and CIO UK and Ireland Novartis Pharmaceuticals.
Prior to this Liz was a Consultant at Accenture. She holds a PhD in Chemistry from University of Cambridge and BSc Hons in Chemistry from University of Bristol.
Vice President, Global Commercial Operations and Customer Success
Mike is Vice President of Global Commercial Operations and Customer Success. In this role, he is responsible for all Field Operations supporting IDBS customers spanning Sales, Solution Consulting, Customer Success Management, Professional Services and Customer Support.
Mike has played a significant role in developing strategy and driving growth at IDBS, holding many of the company’s key roles over his tenure. He has extensive experience in helping organizations overcome their current and emerging challenges across the R&D landscape.
Prior to joining IDBS in 2001, Mike worked at Merrill Lynch in Princeton, NJ after earning his degree in Biology from the College of New Jersey.
Senior Director, Human Resources
Hannah joined IDBS in 2013 and heads up the company’s Human Resources activities worldwide. Hannah’s specialized knowledge encompasses all aspects of HR management, business transformation and internal communications. Her skills help make sure that the company’s human talent and business needs are aligned and that IDBS employees are able to fulfil their potential.
Before joining IDBS, Hannah spent over 20 years honing her HR skills in roles including that of Group HR Director at EurotaxGlass’s International where she was responsible for HR across 750 employees and in 19 countries. Hannah is a Chartered member of the CIPD.
Vice President, Business Development and Open Innovation
Scott Weiss manages the Products team and is responsible for IDBS’ portfolio of enterprise software, with a focus on delivering products that enable organizations to drive business transformation by fostering operational efficiency, innovation, and cost savings.
Scott has a broad background in pharmaceutical research & development, informatics strategy and execution, business consulting, solutions delivery and software development & commercialization, and previously served as Product Manager during the initial design, commercial launch and early growth phases of E-WorkBook.
Prior to joining IDBS, Scott was Director of Pharmacology at Vernalis, where he led multiple drug-development programs from conceptualization to entry in clinical trials and has authored over 30 peer-reviewed scientific papers and patents. He obtained his PhD in Psychology from the University of Leeds, specializing in Neuroscience.
