As Albert Einstein famously postulated, time is relative. But as I cast my mind back to when I founded IDBS back in 1989, can a quarter of a century really have gone by so fast?

From our humble beginnings as a small niche IT Consultancy we are now one of the world’s leading providers of integrated software solutions for research and development (R&D). Our customers rely on our technology and domain expertise to help them link data to data, data to people and people to people; to drive innovation and make cutting edge discoveries with the potential to transform lives.

Today our ethos remains the same as it was all those years ago – to apply our passion to the job of optimizing scientific process to make data genuinely useful and actionable.

These days we spend a huge amount of our time meeting with you to get your feedback at our global Community Forums and annual IDBS Connect customer events. Last year, our Connect event in Marseille was our most successful yet. This year I look forward to welcoming you to our biggest, brightest, boldest and best customer event, IDBS Connect 2014, to celebrate our 25th anniversary in our home town of London. Personally, I can’t wait but, knowing how fast time can pass, June will be here before any of us realize it.

Delivering more

Last year was particularly successful for us as we delivered the next generation of our award winning software. E-WorkBook Suite benefited from a number of major releases to increase functionality and there’s more to come this year. ActivityBase continues to thrive and has been chosen by two major pharma as their platform for their aggressive screening outsourcing initiatives.
