IDBS to Present at LabAutomation2010
Guildford, UK, and Burlington, Mass., January 14, 2010 – IDBS, the leading worldwide provider of research data management and analytics solutions to R&D organizations, today announced that Jeff Tishler, product manager for IDBS, will present a session entitled “Scientific Process Management and Analytics: Automation for the Data Deluge,” at the Association for Lab Automation (ALA) LabAutomation2010 conference, January 23-27, 2010, in Palm Springs, California.
What
Today’s drug discovery teams are multi-disciplinary and the process itself is non-linear and encapsulates many iterative micro and macro processes. Handling the data and communication between teams is a monumental challenge and can make the difference between success and failure, significantly altering a drug’s time to market. This session will focus on using scientific business intelligence and analysis solutions to manage product lifecycles more effectively. This can be achieved by improving communication between in-house therapeutic program teams and better enterprise orchestration of the drug discovery process.
Attendees will learn how to apply data management technologies to facilitate the planning and resourcing of discovery activities, reduce overall cycle time for the ‘Hit to Lead’ or ‘Lead to Candidate’ phases, capture and reuse knowledge gained through program strategies, create an audit trail for increased transparency, and drive further efficiencies throughout the therapeutic process and between scientific business functions. It will include the presentation of a new IDBS solution, Assay Cascade, that allows enterprise oversight of discovery projects and helps reduce the overall cycle time for new pharmaceutical products.
LabAutomation2010 joins a diverse group of scientists, engineers and professionals from around the world to explore cutting-edge information and strategies in the rapidly growing field of laboratory automation. LabAutomation2010 promotes knowledge sharing across a wide range of scientific disciplines and industries, including drug discovery and development, forensics and security, energy generation and petrochemicals, agriculture and food, and clinical diagnostics.
