Studying xenograph disease models in oncology generates large data volumes, for many subjects, over long and multiple time periods. Data points will include parameters such as weight, tumor size, blood chemistry and subsequent histological analysis. The ability to capture, track and report on these many different data types over the duration of the experiment (which may be several months) is one area addressed by BioBook.
BioBook can integrate directly with instrumentation, enabling it to capture information, such as weight, directly into a spreadsheet environment - hence removing any potential transcription errors. The flexible BioBook environment allows for controlled modification of study design at any time during the experiment, so enabling the capture of unexpected experimental information. This can be achieved without having to rewrite experimental protocols - and all within a 21 CFR Part 11 complaint environment.
