Omics Workbench

Easy and flexible analytics accelerate omics research

The Omics Workbench works alongside the Biomolecular Hub to provide the analytics and visualizations required to support the comprehensive analysis of omics data. Pre-built analytics allow the system to be quickly up and running and enable labs with bottlenecks in analysis or limited informatics support to run their own analysis. The solution also provides the flexibility to modify procedures or add new algorithms using our Software Developers Kit.

The Omics Workbench supports the analysis of all types of omics data including gene expression, GWAS, CNV and NGS.

  • Analyze – Utilize pre-built analytics to run public domain and proprietary algorithms such as SOAP and TopHat
  • Automate – A PI or advanced user can schedule analysis to be run overnight, a major benefit particularly for large Next Generation datasets where alignment can take hours
  • Standardize – Ensure analytics are run consistently and reproducibly to give the highest quality results across departments
  • Integrate – Wrap existing R and PLINK scripts to make analytics broadly available to scientific groups and remove bottlenecks
