IDBS Canadian Translational Medicine Symposium 2012

BRINGING GENOMICS TO THE CLINIC

Get the experts views on Collaboration, Integration and Clinical Decision Support

Thursday, October 25, Toronto

Genome Canada Workshop on Challenges in Personalized Medicine

Genome Canada will be conducting a workshop as part of the event that will provide valuable insights into future funding initiatives. We are pleased to have Pierre Meulien, President and CEO of Genome Canada join our panel of speakers for this event. Pierre will spend a few minutes discussing Genome Canada's strategy to support funding initiatives in Translational Research/Medicine and will then run a working session to gain your input into the challenges you face to make personalized medicine a reality.

Success means everyone working together. Only when all players in the health science ecosytem truly pull together can we fully exploit, benefit and profit from the incredible advances in personalized medicine that translational research promises.

Join us at the complimentary IDBS Translational Medicine Symposium. As this year's most thought-leading event of its kind this is an exclusive opportunity to meet recognized experts from leading international organizations. Take part in presentations and workshops that take a detailed look at how they have overcome their key challenges in informatics and analytics in translational medicine and biomarker research.

The success of Personalized Medicine relies on the joint efforts of patients, hospitals, academic medical centers, pharmaceutical and diagnostic organizations.

Key topics will include:

  • Integration of clinical, omics, research and biobank data
  • Clinical decision support with omics data
  • Next Generation Sequencing data management and analytics challenges
  • Translational collaborations across sites and industry groups
  • Curation and use of long term, longitudinal patient data
