Neil founded IDBS in 1989 and has since developed what was a small niche IT consultancy into a leading provider of integrated software solutions for the life sciences industry. Neil graduated from Leeds University in 1984 with a B.Sc. in Microbiology. In 2008 Neil was awarded an honorary doctorate (DUniv) from the University of Surrey for his outstanding contributions to biotechnology and cheminformatics on an international level.
David has been with IDBS since 1997 and was responsible for establishing IDBS' financial systems and IDBS' presence in the US. Prior to joining IDBS, David worked at Yorkshire Food Group PLC in a number of roles including Group Finance Director. David is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Glyn joined IDBS in 1995 and has worked primarily on large projects with major pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Prior to IDBS Glyn worked at Sci-net Ltd as a consultant for biological data management and has more than 10 years experience in managing projects in drug discovery IT. Glyn has a B.Sc. Hons in Combined Studies from Manchester University and an M.Sc. in Applied Computing.
Phil joined IDBS in March 2005 and is responsible for driving IDBS' Global Professional Services in a direction that ensures growth and alignment with corporate philosophy and values. Phil has over 20 years experience in the IT software arena and previously worked for AspenTech where he held a number of product and sales positions including Managing Director for the UK. Phil has a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Loughborough University.
Chris joined IDBS in 2008. He was formerly Chief Operating Officer at MerLion Pharmaceuticals, an award-winning international R&D biotech headquartered in Singapore, where he was also responsible for strategic partnering and communications. Prior to this role, Chris had a fourteen year preclinical research career at GSK where he also held responsibility for co-ordinating IT and automation portfolios across screening and lead optimization worldwide.
Prof. Yike Guo previously founded InforSense in November 1999 (now the IDBS InforSense Suite). He became CTO of InforSense in Jan 2009, focusing on the company's strategic technology development and innovation. He is a world leading expert in large scale data mining and Grid computing and also serves as Technical Director of the Parallel Computing Center and Head of the Data Mining Group at Imperial College. Over the last four years he has led a number of significant academic and industrial research and development projects targeted at building next generation e-Science platforms for which he has gained UK and European funding in excess of £10million. He holds a PhD in Computing Science from Imperial College London and is a Professor in the department of computing of Imperial College London.
David joined IDBS as part of the InforSense acquisition in 2009 and is responsible for developing global market adoption and revenue growth of sales. Previously, David served as Chief Executive Officer at InforSense and he brings to our organization more than 20 years of experience and leadership in the software industry. During a varied international career, he has held senior positions in both start-up and mature software businesses including SeeBeyond, Documentum, Definiens, Wang Laboratories and Unilever. David has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Studies from the University of the West of England.
